After seven incredible years, we are sharing some bittersweet news: our Docklands and Geelong stores will close, with the last day of trading being Friday, 6 March.
This was not a decision we arrived at easily. These two locations have been more than just shops, they have been community hubs, starting points for thousands of rides, and spaces where meaningful connections were made. Over the years, we have had the privilege of becoming part of Geelong’s vibrant community, and that is something we will always cherish.
Unfortunately, a combination of challenging factors has made it no longer sustainable for us to keep these stores open. Among these was our limited capacity to continue creating employment opportunities for young people and to generate the sustainable income needed to keep both locations running. It is a reality that many small businesses face, and one we didn’t take lightly.
We want to take a moment to recognise the people who made these stores what they were. A heartfelt thank you to John Paul, Michael, Byron, Callie and the entire Good Bikes team — your dedication, passion, and hard work built something truly special. We are so grateful for everything you gave to these communities.
To our wonderful Geelong and Docklands customers: thank you. Your loyalty, enthusiasm, and support over the years have meant the world to us. We sincerely hope to continue serving you at our CBD location in Goldsbrough Lane.
