Terms & Conditions

Payment terms

Only Australian Dollars (AUD) are accepted. Pre-payment is required before the dispatch of goods. All prices are in AUD, inclusive of GST and are current at the time of purchase. Good Cycles will do its best to ensure product availability, however, reserves the right to change products, prices and information without notice. If an order cannot be fulfilled you will be notified via email or phone call within 2 business days.

Lay-by and Special Orders

Good Cycles must give a copy of the agreement signed by a staff member and the customer. A customer may cancel the lay-by any time before they receive the goods. Good Cycles will refund any payments they have already made minus a cancellation fee to cover our costs.

Lay-by Terms

  • 25% deposit for bikes, 50% for any other items.
  • 3-month terms.
  • Must be paid in full and collected within 3 months of the dated contract.
  • Regular fortnightly payments must be made.
  • A 15% restocking fee will apply if a layby is cancelled by the customer.
  • A full refund will be given if Good Cycles can not fulfil the layby.

Terms Specific to Special Orders

  • If the customer is happy to wait until the next order from the supplier goes through (general wait time of 2-3 weeks) no freight charge has to be paid – Member discounts still apply
  • If the customer wants the item urgently they must pay freight. This charge is not part of the minimum deposit and will be added on once we have an invoice from the supplier. – Member discounts DO NOT apply

Returns & refunds

Returns

You have 30 calendar days to return a product from the date you receive it. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase which can be emailed to us at [email protected] once your return has been approved you will receive an email with a return shipping label. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Shipping

Shipping costs are non-refundable. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. We will provide tracking for all items exchanged or returned We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you. We only refund items if they are defective or damaged, so we will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. When you receive the credit will depend upon your card issuer’s policies. We make no guarantee about offering refunds. Refunds are at our discretion and we abide by practices outlined by Consumer Affairs Victoria.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at [email protected] and we will reply within 2 working days

Delivery times

We do our best to dispatch quickly. We operate Monday to Friday and usually ship items within 2 days of receiving an order. If express postage is requested, we will dispatch the same day. If courier delivery is requested, we will provide same day delivery only to the postcodes stated at checkout.

Cancellation

If you wish to cancel an order, please do so promptly. We endeavour to dispatch orders within 2 working days. Orders cannot be cancelled once dispatched from Good Cycles.

Products

Certain products may be available exclusively online through our website and as such may have limited quantities. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any colour will be accurate. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations.

Errors, inaccuracies or omissions

Occasionally there may be information on our site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).

Memberships

By purchasing a Good Cycles membership you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree with our memberships T&Cs below. Our friendly staff are very happy to answer any questions you might have on our T&Cs.

Partial or full refund or exchanges

Unfortunately, we do not provide partial or full refund or exchanges for our memberships (except in the circumstance where Good Cycles ceases to trade – see below).

Memberships are pre-paid upfront by customers for the duration of the membership (one year), and cannot be refunded.

Please make sure you fully understand our memberships and T&Cs before you purchase a membership with us.

Refunds are at our discretion and we abide by practices outlined by Consumer Affairs Victoria.

If Good Cycles ceases trading and we are no longer able to provide the benefits and services offered to you as part of your Membership, we will provide you a full refund to you under our general refund policy (see above).

Payment

Our memberships are once-off payments, not subscriptions. At the end of your one-year membership, we’ll ask you if you’d like to extend your membership for another year (and hopefully you’ll say yes!). But we won’t automatically debit payment from your credit or debit card.

Discounted services

Discounted services provided with membership categories cannot be transferred to another individual. Good Cycles, at its discretion, may place certain restrictions on the transfer of Benefits to our members. Specifically, Good Cycles reserves the right to not offer members a service fee at a discounted rate on occasion if – in Good Cycles’ reasonable opinion – that this benefit is used in excess.

Sale and clearance products

Membership discounts do not apply to products/services with marked down sale or clearance prices.

One membership per person

An individual is only entitled to one membership at any given time and this membership cannot be shared with other people. If you would like to support us in other ways, you can make a tax deductible donation here.

Right to change of benefits

Good Cycles will make all reasonable efforts to not change member benefits. If we change these, we’re usually making these benefits better. However, we reserve the rights to change member benefits if required. We’ll make sure we let you know before we apply these changes to your membership.

Marketing

By purchasing a Good Cycles membership, you opt-in to receive marketing and promotional emails from Good Cycles. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Personal information

We respect our members’ privacy and deal with our members’ personal information in accordance to our privacy policy listed below.

Privacy

This policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information. We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information. A copy of the Australian Privacy Principles may be obtained from the website of The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.

What is personal information and why do we collect it?

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect include: names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers. This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including by communications, via our website and from third parties. We don’t guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties. We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you and marketing. You may unsubscribe from our email marketing lists at any time by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.

Third parties

Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances, we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.

Payments

We accept payments through Stripe and PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe and PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. Disclosure of personal information

Your Personal Information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances including the following:
• Third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and
• Where required or authorised by law.

Security of personal information

Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

Access to your personal information

You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing. In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

Maintaining the quality of your personal information

It is important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate and complete. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.
