Description

Wednesday 9th August 2023, 5:15pm for a 5:30pm start

Location TBC

In this event we share our experiences working with disadvantaged young people in our retail, maintenance and repair, gardening and waste management operations.

We aim to help local businesses hire and train young people with confidence to improve profitability, meet operational objectives and bring a ‘youth perspective’ into their organisational culture.

Through long term employment, we can help young people build confidence, stability and networks, enabling them to continue to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

Good Cycles is a social enterprise that empowers young people facing barriers to work. Our Youth Employment Program (YEP) uses a work-first approach, offering real jobs to young people aged 18-29, with real income alongside tailored coaching and support. Our ‘learn by doing’ approach is offered with personal choice and an inclusive workplace to deliver technical and transferable skills, which increase job-readiness and reduce barriers to employment.
